Plan, Elevation and section of a house

In this task is quite though for me, because it needs actual measurement in everything. Thus, it needs a long period to finish due to we're a beginner, this is my first time drawing a exact hand-drawn  plan scale. Its quite fun but annoyed at the same time, because the measurement quite small and hard to erase when you did some mistakes.

These four I've done it twice due to some mistakes and I decided to redo it. It spend me around 4 hours plus to finished it, its hard but worth to try, 

Architecture Materials Symbols

As for today, we learned a few architecture symbols for the plans and the sizes for common doors and windows. For an example, doors is 2100mm height, 800mm width and the height between door lock to floor is 900mm. 

We measured exactly the door that we used by using T-ruler and convert it using scale ruler. Its quite hard to measure the exact length due to we did not have measuring tape with us. So some parts we predict it. 

Visual Diary Task: 

Analyse the architecture materials symbol (Plan, Section and Elevation)

For this tasks I recognize and know the symbols of Timber, Stone, Glass, Brick and Concrete. I know I have a tons of it to recognize because there're different symbols due to 1 type of materials with different kind like for Timber, the symbols between thick and maple are different. Although is quite hard but I will do my best!

At this stage, we learned how to measure by using scale ruler which have 1:20, 1:25, 1:50, 1:125, 1:100 and 1:75 scale. After that we need to draw a real life object on A3 sized paper by using scale ruler to minimized it and fit on the paper.

At first I was quite confused about how the scale ruler works, like how many mm equals to how long in 1:100 scale and more. But after Lecturer demonstrate to us, I had understand well more.

Object Drawing and Fill in space

Object Drawing:

Start from today, we will be learning to draw by using T-ruler, Set Square, Scale ruler and drawing template. For me I'm quite exited because its getting more understanding what Interior designer do.

First we learn how to do our title block, then we start on basic shapes.

Fill In Space:

This is a small practice for us to understand the perspective well within human scale and the object. It does not require a lot of item and I'm trying to keep it simple.

Watercolour

Is my first try on water colour, feeling nervous and exciting at the same time. Mr Redzwan`show us how he did his sketch note by using water colour. He said that perfection is not necessary on the sketch note, as long as your feeling was delivered successful to the reader and you manage to record your own daily lifestyle. From my point of view, water colour is easier and fun! After that we learn about architecture drawing and obviously its connected to perspective. Below pictures is my task of the week~
