As for the final project of detailing drawing, we need to produce a series of working drawing of our design. those working drawing include: setting out plan, reflected ceiling plan, furniture plan, electric plan, section and furniture details. From this project, I learnt that the actual working drawing that i need to produces when I work as an interior designer. Which I need to use these communicate with the contractor. Its important that produce a right working drawing, if produce wrongly then will occur construction failure.

Details drawing week 8 (individual reflection)

On last week (week 7), its our 1 week mid-semester breaks. During this break we need to upload our progression of our project 2 thru online submission. In this project 2 we had to visit 3K Sports Complex located at Subang Jaya and then produced a report and minimum 4 drawings in a group of four. As for me, I group with Tia Nellisa, Goh Pei San and Thian Bing Xun. After we settled our group mates, we started divide our parts like 2 peoples (Pei San and Tia) do report and another 2 (Me and Bing Xun) do drawings. 

Next, Me and Bing stared divide the drawings like he will do 2 plan and 1 details drawing, I will be doing 2 section and 1 elevation drawings. The week before the mid-term breaks, we discussed about all the measurements of the drawings include the title block and we tested before we draw the official ones. I felt enjoy but stress at the same time because I enjoy drawing but then I need to keep my paper clean and the line weight need to be up to the standard. Last, I'm actually very happy to join this group which everyone of us works like a team do our own best, thanks to Bing for guiding me on the drawings and Tia and Peisan for done a great report although we're almost late for submission due to binding problems but we still make it on time. Thank you Group 10!

Detail drawing week 6 (riveted, welded, nut and bolt joints)

In this week, we need to observed 3 different joints which is riveted, welded, nut and bolt joint. From the observation,  we need to sketch 3 different types of object (either furniture, architecture, interior and others) from Singapore which we having a study trip on last week Friday to Sunday (6th May to 8th May). On this trip we went a lot places to observed the architecture and interior which quite interesting. More over, I like tge ways how they constructed according to the human needs and the balances between cities and nature environment. For us as a designer, I think we should have think of eco environment when we designing either interior or exterior. Because if our mother earth is damage, where will be our home?

Detail Drawing Week 5 (Revision Remarks)

For this task, Ms Norji asked us to comment on other group's work that we have done last week, a interior detailing drawing. As for my group (Imani, Wafaa, Tia Nellisa and me), we had done Interior Detailing Drawing Eames Lounge Ottoman Chair.

Detail Drawing Week 4 ( Observation Drawing)

As for this week, we was given a day off to explore ourselves. It means that we don't have class, we get permission from Ms Norji to have a outdoor study at wherever furniture outlets that we interest with. As for me, I went Ikea Damansara to do my research. The requirements of this outdoor study is measured and sketched 3 furnitures (Table, Chair and Cabinet) with different kind of materials and listed down their specifications. 

For me, Ikea is a theme park / dreamland for me since i was a kid. The way they displayed their product which allow me to experience different kind of interior styles and of course  their meatballs and other delicious food  from the cafeteria considered one of my motive to go there and I believe majority of the peoples will same as me.

Detali Drawing Week 3 (Observation Drawing)

In this week, we had a lecture from Ms. Norji about detail drawing specification for furniture. We as a interior designer who is a main character between client and contractors which need to communicate both side to make sure the outcome from the contractors have reached the requirements from the client. As for this, we had a specific format to let the contractors know the details about the furniture (sizes and height, material, method of installation and finishes).

The images below are the exercise that Ms, Norji gave us. In this task wee need to observe the furniture images from the lecture note and write out the specification of it.

Semester 3: Details Drawing (week 1)

Second Year of Degree had begun, time passed so fast and I'm already study 2 years in Taylor University, no longer a freshman. As for this semester, although there's only 5 subject but getting more serious and challenging due to we gonna have our internship right after we finished Year 2. In this first class of Details drawing, Ms Norji had brief us about the module outline and gave us a task. This task is something like a intro for me and all we need to do is sketch a drafting table which we have it in out design studio.  

This is me sketch or drafting table with plan, side view (opened and closed) and 3D view. Moreover, I sketched a human figure beside the table just to show that the actual size of the table can be.
